Touring Company
Our touring company is called Directions Out Theatre Company which tours nationally.
The company was founded in 2014 to tour productions and create new work using classic and experimental theatre techniques.
Halcyon Days opened at The Viking Theatre, Clontarf in January 2019. It Went on tour Ireland in Autumn of the same year. The Most recent revival of Halcyon Days toured Ireland in Spring 2022 and featured Barry McGovern, veteran actor of Irish stage and screen.

'Dave at Large', is a comedy which celebrates the work of the controversial and groundbreaking Irish comedian Dave Allen. The play is written by Brian McAvera and tells the extraordinary story of the iconic Irishman whose rise to international fame saw him become one of the most challenging yet fondly remembered comedians and television personalities of his day.

Produced by Directions Our Theatre, Halcyon Day’s is written by Irish Playwright Deirdre Kinahan and is a hilarious and poignant story, set in a nursing home, that dramatises the emerging friendship between Patricia played by Una Crawford O'Brien and Sean played by Bryan Murray.
As the pair negotiate their failing health, a combative and charming friendship begins to blossom.

The audience is lead on a guided tour to experience new short performance-based pieces created through the collaboration between writers, visual artists, musicians, actors and dancers working together around a theme'.
The Studio produces and annual Blooms Day Event every year in period costume to celebrate the novel Ulysses by James Joyce. Garalt Canton has adapted a number of short scenes from the novel that are performed in various locations around a chosen village area. The audience are led on a guided tour by actors playing characters from the book. The entertainment is a flexible event or generic-specific that can be tailored to fit with most locations .
